It's the city's 400th anniversary. Salem, Massachusetts was founded in 1626, which makes 2026 four hundred years — and October 2026 one of the busiest seasons the town has seen.
Does "Est. 1692" on the Salem Broom Co. design mean something?
1692 is the year the Salem witch trials began. The design is a fictional old-town trade sign that leans on that date; it isn't a real company or a historical artifact.
Is this official Salem 400 or city merchandise?
No. It's an independent Cosmic Clothier collection inspired by Salem's history and the Halloween season. We aren't affiliated with the city or its anniversary events.
